Building a hunting buggy
Hello All
I am interested in building a 48 volt cart to carry me around my hunting lease. I would rather build what I want than buy something. Speed is not important, ability to climb hills is what I need. I am sure I will have lots of questions later , but for now what kind of cart would work best for this? Thanks... |

I am a newbie at all of this, but I just did what you are looking at doing. I got an older EZGO TXT, searched this forum and asked questions from all the knowledgeable people on here. ScottyB at Cartsunlimited was especially helpful in my build. I think I have all my particulars in my signature. I too did not care about speed and went all torque.

Re: Building a hunting buggy
Scottyb is the guy to talk to when it comes to upgrading, but I do know that youre going to want to find a series cart to upgrade if torque is your main concern.

Re: Building a hunting buggy
Are the rear ends common enough that you could change any cart to series. I guess I would be upgrading motor, controller and batteries. Another question. Which ones have a steel frame. I would not want alum.

Hmmm....the "Pro's" should be able to answer that question, however, if you look below you will see what is on my cart. It's all "hunting" for sure.
