Tire sizes
I have a set of Excel Duro tires on ETW 7" rims. Size 23x10.5-12. I need to put DOT approved tires on my cart. The size I am looking at is 23x9.5-12. Am I correct in assuming that the new tires are 1" smaller in width? The geometry calculator I have is great but only works with tires sized like 245/45-12 etc (Width in MM/ Aspect Ratio - wheel in inches)... Can't seem to put a value on tires sized in inches.
Can some help clarify this?? Thank you, M |

Re: Tire sizes
No calculator needed 23" tall x 9.5" wide on 12" rim.
It boggles my mind why they use the other aspect ratio. Ya just can't get any simpler than stating height and width. |
