need a little more rear lift
I have a jakes 6" lift on my g16. With one adult in the rear my 23" tires rub on bumps bad. The shocks r fine. How could I get like 1" more lift? Could I replace the shocks with atv stock shocks that r a little longer?

Re: need a little more rear lift
I had the same problem on my CLub Car Precedent. Bought heavy duty rear leaf springs and it solved the problem, but I had to put a passenger side brake cable on the driver's side since the lift made the cable too short.

Re: need a little more rear lift
I have the same cart and same lift. Change your springs out to the Jakes HD coil springs and you wont have anymore issues. I think I purchased mine for $99 and they are relatively easy to install.

Does it raise the shocks any? Wont it make it a rougher ride?

Re: need a little more rear lift
The rear bumper probably has been pushed in. It can be pulled back out to clear the tires. I use a portapower to push out on each side. But have heard people attaching chain to a tree and snatching out.

Re: need a little more rear lift
Nope bumper is fine. Just need like 1" clearance. There has to be some atv shocks that will do this.

Re: need a little more rear lift
The stock coils are probably worn out causing it to rub. This is common on the Yamaha's. The heavy-duty coils will fix this and make it more stable.

Re: need a little more rear lift
They dont feel worn out at all. just think the tire is too tall. Would rather but a slightly longer shock and maybe gain travel in the meantime.
