Mild lift for club car precedent
I am looking to put a mild lift on my Club Car precedent cart and was wanting some opinions. I've been browsing around the forums and searching online and have come across the Jakes 3" spindle lift kit. I think this would be perfect for my needs. Is there a general consensus on these forums on one lift over another? Is the Jakes kit good for what I need or can someone recommend some other options?
Also, what tire size would everyone recommend? I've been searching on here and it looks like I could fit a 20-22" tire? Would a 22" require any trimming? I have 10" wheels on the cart that I will be reusing. Also, what popular brands of tire do people recommend? I would like a nice mild A/T tire. Nothing too knobby. Ideally I'd like to get something ordered today so I can have everything ready to go for the big holiday next week. Thanks for the help, I'll continue to search around on the forums and post up any other questions I may come across. |

Re: Mild lift for club car precedent
I do not have experience with one lift or the other, but like you I have been looking at several lifts for the Precedent. You may take a look at the Madjax lifts. They seem to have a good reputation and the install videos that I've seen that they put out make the lift look pretty easy to install. Good luck

I've got a few other questions now though. What can be done about increasing the headlight brightness? Has anyone installed HIDs or will the current draw be too much for the batteries? What about just a higher wattage halogen bulb? I've also thought about mounting some auxiliary LED pod lights or something to go along with the headlights. |

Re: Mild lift for club car precedent
I just bought a 2011 Precedent last week that had a 6" lift and the same tires you have. Sadly it's not a Jake's lift. Been doing some research and found out I have some H&I lift. Have a feeling it's a Chinese knock off lift. I couldn't imagine the tires clearing with a 3" lift.

Re: Mild lift for club car precedent
Well I got the tires in yesterday and Discount Tire mounted them up for me for 50 bucks. Look pretty bad ***. Lift arrived today and I just started the install and noticed the shocks on this thing are SHOT.
Are there any replacement shocks out there to go along with the lift? Looking around the forum it looks like people have replaced them on other carts with automotive shocks such as monroe but I can find any info on someone doing it on a Precedent. Anyone got any ideas? THanks |

My cart has Monroes on it. Don't know if that's who makes the stock ones or not.
