Default Winch mount for jakes long travel

I recently re did my EZGO txt with a complete Jakes long travel and I saw a few members on here who had also done the same opted to mount a winch between the upper top rails of the front long travel. I really liked the way their setups looked and wanted to do the same, but the bracket for the winch mount isn't an option Jakes sells, unless you buy what I consider their Ugly winch mount bumper assembly. I contacted a member on here, and he told me what he had done to solve the dilemma, and I had also fabricated up a part that pretty much was exactly what he described. My biggest concern is why doesn't Jakes just offer a winch mount that will bolt up where we are mounting ours, the jakes long travel already even comes pre drilled with two holes that are the perfect attachment point for the winch mount, and you can run any one of the Jakes front bumper options. I choose the Outlaw bumper and I think it looks far better than the winch mount bumper they offer. Here is a picture of what I came up with for anyone else who comes across this issue in the future.

I welded it on both sides of the gussets to make sure it is real strong

I trimmed down the sides so from a side profile you don't really see the bracket and also to cut down on any extra weight in raw form the part weighed in at about 4.8lbs but it is made out of 1/4 thick steel. I also left the front surface that attaches at the jakes long travel a little longer to make sure it had a solid mount and would not flex under load. I've considered drilling a third hole in the front of the jakes long travel and running a third bolt in a triangle configuration to solidify the mounting, but I'm pretty sure the two 3/8 bolts should hold it pretty solid

Overall picture of the golf cart with the winch mounted and fully functional. This warn 2000 fits in this spot perfect. Only thing that would have made this setup easier would have been if Jakes just offered the mounting plate, or better yet welded a winch mounting plate in this location from the get go.

I don't have a long travel but I would recommend mounting a 2" receiver and putting the winch on a hitch.
For two reasons, one so it can be removed when u don't need it or it's in the way of loading, two so you can move it to the rear or other vehicle.

My cart already has a 2" reciever on the front, and I initially bought a reciever mounted winch mount and when I mocked it all up it looked bad on my cart, and it put the winch out in the front in harms way. Where I have my winch mounted it is not in the way, or where it will get damaged, and it works perfect for loading onto the trailer which was my initial reason for buying a winch.
