Re: Any pics of bigger rims on marathon cart
Sorry it's not a Marathon, but it is a TXT with 14" wheels and 23" tires so it should give you an idea of the overall look with that size wheel and tire combo.

Re: Any pics of bigger rims on marathon cart
No rub, you could probably get by with 5 or 6 inches of lift if you're running on the street, but I wanted a little extra cause I beat that cart pretty bad off road. Back when I had that cart it was the only one at our camp so it got used for everything, hauling gravel, towing the trash trailer, skidding logs, etc.
On the back I cut out the 4 inch block on the economy lift and replaced it with a 7 inch block. It worked fine while it was 36 volt system, but when I upgraded to a 48 volt I started to get some axle wrap. I made some cheap radius arms out of some round stock with some flat steel welded on the ends, drilled a holes through the blocks down next to the axle and in the lower frame, used some grade 8 bolts and nylocs to attach the rods and just snugged them down so they still had some movement to them. Ran it that way for the 4 years I had that cart with no problem and it was ran hard, pulling wheelies, off-roading and towing stuff. |
