Default tie rod ends or something else?

i attemted to straighten my front tires the other day.. first i replaced the plastic bushings in the front end with rubber ones thinking that would help... they were even more out of wack. friend came over lastnight and tryed to dial in my tie rods.. first attempt got tires close but when we drove cart the front end seemed very loose.. by that i mean it was swaying left and right.. played with it a bit more and seemed ok. we solved toein problem but is there another ajustment for tires leaning in or out?

Its hard to tell from the small pic but it looks like your toe is still off. The front should be 1/8" or so toe in (the front of the tire should be 1/8" closer together than the back of the tire)

What lift kit do you have?

If your tie rod ball joints are bad the adjustments won't really help and you will continue to have that wabble.

You need to pull them out and check them....both tie rods both ends and purchase if they are bad. If you have a ball joint fork it makes it easier. I would check sponsors first. You may also check wheel bearings dont have excessive play.
Test you can use a pry bar while still attached to cart and pry to force socket up and if u get play they are bad.
Maybe someone else will chime in with another way to test

To check the steering-linkage,have someone shake the wheel side to side, like a kid would do it,while you look at each connection-point,any movement will cause wandering and looseness in the steering wheel. Also look to see how much slack is in the steering box itself, most have an adjustment on them, only turn it about 1/8 or so turn at a time with the steering centered, too tight will damage the gear box.Any loose bushings in the suspension or steering will add to the problem. Also check and make sure the wheel bearings aren't loose. To remove any rod-ends,dont waste your money on a pickle-fork,all they do is rip the boots.Take a pry-bar,pry down on the tie-rod(hook the bar on something on the cart, use the tie.rod as the fulcrum-point,then whack the side of the steering arm with a hammer, and it will pop free.Im a life long mechanic,i work in a suspension shop, and i dont own a "Boot-Wrecker". Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comment guys. This site has helped me out alot. One cart shop told me that my lift was crap.. 6" RHOX lift.. (drop spindle) kind. he said that the drop spindles are the worst for the problem im having and that replaceing the ball joints would do no good in my case. Is this true? anyone out there had this type of problem with a like suspention?

yes my uncle had the same problem on his cart with that lift 1 year old (hard 1 year trail riding and off roading) and the lift went to hell tires all over the place ate the front two tires right off it... Took it to the local golf cart store here and they said they have seen it before. He replaced the whole lift with a jakes drop spindle and loves it...
