Default 6" lift & 25x12.5-14s??

I have a stock 04 EZGO TXT 36v series. The controller just went out for the second time so im probably going to get a 500 amp controller this time along with a hd f/r switch, 2ga cables and a new torque motor and do the 48v conversion. I have always used this cart mostly for heavy offroading. I am also in need of new tires, so my question is if I use a jake's 6in spindle lift could I run 25x12.5-14 offroad tires without rubbing. I would also get offset wheels or wheel spacers.

If the tires are true to size you can install 25" tires with offset wheels on our EZGO spindle lift kit.

I'd steer away from the spindle lift if the cart is used for heavy offroading.

Wouldn't a spindle lift give more clearance?

It will give more clearance at the axle.
BUT, it will also put more pressure on the axle due to leverage.

For heavy off-road, A arm or long travel would be best but at a cost. Next best would be Axle lift for strength. Then spindle lift for clearance. Its all a trade off of pros, cons, and cost.

Also, for the record, with ANY of the lift kits you actually don't gain any clearance in the rear other than a small amount due to bigger diameter tires. I use (and have for years) Spindle lifts as a rule if I am doing a cart that doesn't include the budget for Long Travel, and believe me - many of these carts have been through offroading and abuse that they never, ever SHOULD be, all without a failure of the Spindles. Another thing to consider, many of the drop-axle kits relocate the long tie rod below the axle, which not only ends up giving you the SAME clearance as stock, but also puts the weakest, most vulnerable part of your steering system at the lowest point, just BEGGING to get bent on a stump, rock, stick, etc.

One thing I *can* say RE Spindle lifts though is that I have only ever used the Jakes - I bought a cheaper one once to see about saving $30 or so and sent it back, total difference in construction, etc that you could actually see and feel. THAT Spindle lift I would fear for on a cart.

This is my G9 with the Jake's LT set at about 9.5" of lift. I still have a little more I can go but it's clearing the 25" tires nicely with plenty of room for travel. These lifts are a bit pricey but we'll worth the expense.

I think am going to end up with a jake's 6in spindle lift or axel lift, and a 2in midrise kit. Could I run 26s with a total of 8in of lift and how well would a D&D speed&torque motor turn them?
