Default G19 6 8volt to 4 12 volt batteries

Anyone changed from 6x 8v to 4x 12 volt batteries, if so what brand and model batteries did you use and would you do it again. I changes out the old Trojan
8v batteries back in 07 when they started failing one by one, when to 8x 6v
no name batteries and have been doing great ever sense but I would like to get
rid of some weight and the 2 extra 6v batteries that set on the back bumper area when golf club bags were made to set. I only drive the cart around my
own land so don't need extended run time just want reliable batteries.
