Default Does anyone know what the metal on the leaf cell is?

Is it aluminum? Steel? buying threaded rods and don't want to get the wrong kind as aluminum reacts with steel. they look and feel like aluminum, so I assume they are. But you know what they say about assume. Thanks.

Pretty sure it's aluminum. I used regular steel threaded rods on mine with no issues in 3 years now.

Magnet test? Stainless and aluminum get along.

Black coated steel rod here also without issue. Pretty sure the case is aluminum.

I used 1/4 inch rods on mine. Loose fit but not a problem.
