Thoughts on this AZlithium drop in
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F223652118448
Wondering if I would have trouble running this drop in set up with it not having a BMS. Also not sure about the charger quality. Anyone have any experience with this particular set up, I’ve seen it before. |

Re: Thoughts on this AZlithium drop in
I ordered the same setup last week, plus the Chargery 16T BMS to go with it. Just waiting on delivery, now.

Re: Thoughts on this AZlithium drop in
I will try. I have worked out an agreement with a local gold cart guy to help me with the install.
He is looking to learn more about going lithium IOT expand his business, and I just don’t have the confidence to feel comfortable in doing this on my own. Every time, we think I have read enough to tackle this on my own, I read someone else’s comment about a potential catastrophic failure, and I lose all the confidence I thought I had. But I will do what I can to document the process. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Haha yea I’m pretty much in the same boat. I worry about how hot it gets in Florida for the cells also. But we’ll see, I’ve def narrowed it down to 14 cell leaf set up, now I I need to dig into the info on the charger BMS you mentioned and the Zeva.

A few of us on here have ordered from Azlithium and are happy with what we received. I ordered the package that the original poster linked to. I have not been able to put the charger to much testing, as I have only put about 20 miles on my cart since I built it. I have only done one charging session with it. The charger is nice, in that you can use it to charge several different types of battery chemistries, as well as dial it in to the amount of charge you prefer. As to a BMS, it is highly recommended to have one. There are a few folks on here who are not using one, seemingly with no problems. However, that is not recommended unless you really know what you are doing! A BMS will help to prolong the life of your investment in the batteries, as well as keep you safer to help prevent a catastrophic event. There are a few folks on here who are using a Chargery BMS, both the 16T and 24 BMS. I personally have not seen a lot of information on how those work and/or how to change settings. Many of us are using a ZEVA BMS, so there is a lot of information on how to install and change settings. Here is my build thread: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lithi...ld-thread.html I warn you though, my build thread gets a little confusing, as it jumps around between the lithium, to controller, to all sorts of subject matter of building a cart from the ground up. So it gets a little confusing. I'm sharing the link to show even a novice with limited electrical know how can get it done, if you are careful and heed the advice of those who offer it. There are two build threads that REALLY helped me out in understanding how to do the lithium swap. As soon as I can find them, I will post links to them. Here are the two threads: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lithi...ium-build.html http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/all-t...hium-pack.html Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. We're all here to help. Last edited by BBBHC; 09-11-2019 at 05:00 AM.. Reason: added link to threads |

If you know what you are doing you know that you need a BMS!
