My bad......it's 7.97V.

Each module is 2 parallel X2 in series. 4 cells total. Yes, the center taps all tie together as well. Leave it all connected for a couple of days with wire that thin. I used bus bars, but my cells were not staggered for polarity yet at that point.

BTW....I did just this. The Leaf's have been wired together for almost 2 days now. No rush as I don't have any other components yet. Ordered.....not yet here.

I left my 100 A/H GBS cells wired together in parallel for over a month, while waiting on parts to arrive.

Thanks Bob. I just received an email from ZEVA that my "stuff" should be shipped within two days. That gives me enough time to finish up my current project.....a .54 caliber flintlock build!!!

I like building various calibers out using AR type platforms. Plenty of inexpensive parts available, and a little machining goes a long ways.

That's true. I have one that I shoot at a "CMP rules shoot" just about every weekend.

Ok guys. Time for some EE help here. I received my two relays and I need\want to understand the correct hookup of these, as outlined in the ZEVA BMS16 install instructions.

So......is what I have in this pic the correct way to wire this up for the High Voltage?

What current is your charger? Mine is 18 amps. For that you want #12 wire if it's relatively short and I would use #10 if it's longer than a couple feet.

Yes you want a diode across the relay coil. Make sure you install it in the correct direction.

For the COM and NO relay contacts 10 gauge wire.

For the relay coil terminals 18 gauge.

yes for the diode with the striped end (cathode) towards the positive wire.

I don't like the Zeva wiring diagram, it makes no sense to keep the relays powered up all of the time as they suggest for both relays (parasitic load).

I would wire those inexpensive relays as I suggested in this post and eliminate the pricey gigavac relay they suggest.

Edit:
if you wire it like the Zeva diagram, the LV relay would need to be the expensive gigavac relay due to the current and duty cycle requirement.
