Default Voltage upgrade

OK I know it has probably been posted on here before but I want to make sure. I have this 36V with the old swiper type pedal control and the coil underneath. I saw that some one upgraded to 48V by just changing the solenoid, adding 2 batteries and the required wiring. is this correct? is there any thing else to consider? I ask this as I bought my unit with out a charger and plan to get mine this week. If this is all that is needed I might as well get the batteries and go for the 48V Charger now instead of spending double money later.

Also other than the voltage change is there a way to adjust the speed controler for more top end? it seems that this unit is a little slower than I expected and not sure what kind of adjustment or parts I can get for it to get the speed up. I have driven other 36V before and this one seems slower. any ideas?

Let me know

Thanks!

No, this won't work for your cart without a complete upgrade. batteries, controller, speed indicator charger, solenoid .....

OK that's what I wanted to know.

Do you know if there is any adjustment to the speed contoller that would govern it down?

Do you have a speed controller system? Or a resistor coil system?

I believe it's the resistor coil as I don't see any electronics and I do have a coil on the very bottom of the swipe board.

First you need to Identify your cart. There are way too many makes and types of speed control systems to just generally say help me with a golf cart and expect accurate info

post a pic of your cart?
Post info From the ID tag?

Then we can work on it
