Melex Battery Issue...New to this Golf Cart Hobby.
I just bought my first golf cart. An older Melex, it was cheap, really cheap. It runs fine. faster in reverse than forward and i have seen some posts with ideas on that. My biggest issue is that i think i have some bad batteries. What is the best/easiest way to test the batteries to see which ones are bad. I don't have a golf cart shop near my home.

hey Russ, Welcome to BGW and the madness
The gear ratio is lower in reverse making the cart quicker to accelerate going backwards.... A simple $7 hydrometer is the best way to tell the health of a battery. |

Ok, i bought a hydrometer and it indicates that my batteries are in good shape. I made sure they were full of water also. Should they gurgle and bubble when the charger is going? My charger get down to 10 amps and won't go any lower. It should charge and go off automatically, correct? It is a Lestronic II.
