Cushman Golfster GC400
Ok guys, picking up yet ANOTHER project cart. A Cushman Golfster GC400. Story goes that it belonged to a doctor who had it for a while (can't remember if he had it since new or not) and he kept it at his camp on the lake. Well, the guy I bought my CC Regen 2 parts cart from is a retired EZGO and Yamaha dealer. The doctor ends up trading the Cushman in to the Regen 2 seller for something WAY newer. I go to get the Regen 2 (this is two months ago) and he has the Cushman sitting in the barn. I ask him what the story is, and he tells me the above. I tell him it's really cool, and I'd like to get it, I just didn't have money to play with then to buy it. Fast forward to yesterday, decide to give him a call to see if he still has this (and a few other CC parts I eyed when I was originally there as well). Sure enough, he has the Cushman, and the CC parts. The best part is, he REALLY needs the money and wants it sold ASAP, so he says "Make me an offer for the Cushman and we can go from there". The original price was $900. We end up agreeing on $700, AND a set of 18x8.50x8 DOT Pathway tires and wheels. Going to pick it up later tonight. Oh yeah, did I mention that the only thing it needs is batteries, and comes with the charger? The best part, it is all original, not repainted, not smashed, and not rotted out. This is something that I will throw batteries in, and most likely sell it as a "Survivor - All Original"

I'd like to put it back to the original setup, but not sure if that is feasible since parts are few and far between Cushman 5.jpg |

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Well, bad news. Got the trailer hooked up and ready to go, and discovered I had no trailer lights. Now, this is at 6:00 and it is a 45 minute drive one way. Just got in fron fixing them. The truck side plug unplugged from the truck side "port". Anyway, the tentative plan is for tomorrow morning. We'll see

On the way back with the Cushman. Also got the seller to throw in a next to new set of OEM DOT Pathway tires and wheels

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Got a technical question for anyone. The Cushman charger is the crowfoot plug, but it has a spacer over part of the prongs. My question is, will a regular CC 36v charger work?

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Pic? I'm thinking yes, had a Yami that way , and IIRC the spacer slid into the head of the plug when plugged in, I guess it was just a protector for the prongs.

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Sounds like the charger of a cart I worked on last summer. You couldn't see the prongs when it wasn't plugged in, it had a spring loaded cover...

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Looks like you guys are correct. The 36v CC charger should fit it perfectly

Re: Cushman Golfster GC400
Well, got some bad news. Remember how I said that the original handle was replaced with a Marathon handle? Well, the entire F-R assembly was replaced with Marathon parts as well . A quick email to Jacobson provided me with the parts book for it. I replied to see about the parts situation and what it will cost me
