Momma's New Ride
Her is the boss ladies new ride. We had our Blue Ezgo for about 7yrs and loved it; however the 36v was just not what we wanted. We like to go to the campgrounds/parks and hated to worry about whether or not we had enough charge, so we sold the ole Ezgo and moved up to the new Silver Yamaha Drive, F/I. We love it so far.

Re: Momma's New Ride
Thank you. This is our very first new one, so I am not sure how long I will have to be on the leash, before she allows me and the boys to go a little farther off the beatin path Each day we test the waters, but time will tell.

That is one NICE cart!!! Really like the color and the wheels. It'll be worse than a new car at first: don't drive it there, you might get a scratch, watch the mud puddle, no, you kids can't drive it, etc...

Re: Momma's New Ride
Spriddle, you said it all. The boss is very particular and my oldest son is now 13, so he is going crazy not being able to just take it out on his on like he did ole blue. I broke down and let him sneak off with it this past weekend, so maybe mom will ease up just a little. I took one for the team, so he owes me. LOL!

Re: Momma's New Ride
Word of caution about teenage boys. (I'm sure you already know). They are usually pretty cautious and considerate when by themselves. You get a friend or cousin involved that is around the same age and they are out of sight, WATCH OUT!! You can trade caution and consideration for careless and competition. LOL!! My son is about the same age as yours.
Funny true story: My wife's parents have a nice club car. Non lifted and mostly stock but it is very nice. They treat it better than their car. They are very cautious who drives it and they mainly use it to ride around on their 10 or so acres and up and down the road in areas. The older girls, no problem, they can drive it around the property and cruise to the pond and back putt putting around. The boys on the other hand have to be supervised and rarely get to drive it. Here's why. One day my son (around 13 at the time) was staying with them while my wife and I were on a short trip. His cousin, who is about the same age, came over to stay as well. Both kept on and on about taking the golf cart out and just riding around the house. We promise, not fast, stay around the house, etc... Finally grandpa gets tired of listening to them and gives in. From what I was told, they were gone maybe 3 minutes, golf cart not even warmed up, they tried to ramp it off some hill and jump a mud hole next to the pond. It ended up sideways buried in the mud and almost in the pond. They had to use the truck to get it out. What a mess, everyone covered in mud and golf cart wrecked. My son said grandpa used a couple of words he'd never heard him say before. |

Spriddle, that's awesome. LMAO! That sounds like something I may or may not have done when I was his age. Just saying, I can't confirm nor deny any incriminating actions. I'm hoping to find him a project cart and let him put some time in, so he will have his own ride. That was how my dad taught me a little responsibility and of course I would be able to play as well.

Yep gadawg, make them work on it themselves, put a little blood, sweat and tears in it and most appreciate it more. He will most likely take better care of it if done that way.
And it gives you and he a chance to bond over something you both enjoy! |

Re: Momma's New Ride
Smokindawg I completely agree. I know my daddy made me bust my rear for a few things and I sure do appreciate him doing that now. Me and my oldest put on the underbody lights this afternoon and they turned out pretty good for $60. I go these at AutoZone. We finished up well after dark and this pic is in the garage, so I want to get a few more shots when it is almost dark to see the contrast. Overall I am please with how they turned out.
