Default 2012.5 yamaha AKA "The Community Cart"

After 2 years of the in laws, cousins, aunts uncles, parents and grandparents always coming over to borrow my cart I figured enough was enough and decided to buy them there own cart. Found an ad early one morning on Craigslist and negotiated it down to my likings and drove it home. It was in immaculate condition from a retired couple that used it to roam there neighborhood. Nothing special just the glacier white gas model with the oem lights, rear flip seat, and the flip down windshield. Here it is the day of the purchase.

Most of the members of the family that will use it are in there late 50's and above so lifting the cart is not on the agenda to reduce the ease of entering and exiting the cart.

With the governor hooked up about 15 was all it would do. It needed more top speed so they could get around faster from place to place around the farm and other areas on the property. So a call to don at plowmans carts was first and foremost. Installed his awesome kit and couldn't be happier with the results. 30mph top speed and plenty of low end pulling power for climbing steep hills and pulling heavy loads.

A few weeks went by and the group pooled together some cash to purchase a stereo for listening to mp3, fm radio, and other music while riding or off the cart working. Went with a jvc marine headinit with Bluetooth. Ordered the center console to go along with the stereo because of its mounting locations for easy arms reach access. Cup holders were nice as well.

With the stereo being a low budget install I went with a set of blaupunkt 4x6 speakers with grills and mounted them in the front storage sections of the dash. Still room to store items in the cubby holes as well.

Rear speakers I wanted something mounted up high out of the way and have sound that would project out away from the cart a good distance. Decide on a pair of marine wakeboard tower speakers in 6.5". Had to fab up a bar to mount them on and attach to the rear roof supports.

With all the rediculous amount of rain we've had in the past month the stock tires had to go. Cart was getting stuck almost everyday it was taken out around the property. Wanted a allterrain tire just big enough that a lift kit wouldn't be needed. Search around for a while and finally came across a full set of wheels and tires on Craigslist from a individual that decided he wanted 14" wheels and 23" tires instead of the 10" wheel 20" tire combo. I lucked up and got them for the right price and didn't have to drive very far to get them . The wheels and tires were in dang near new condition. They are 10" vampire wheels on 20" Sahara classic tires. 20x10-10

Close fit by the looks in the picture but still no need to trim anything. Plenty of clearance and no problems scrubbing while turning full tilt, off camber riding or loaded down with 300 lbs of people. 20" tires will clear on a stock height g29

The final mods to the cart will be a 30" led light bar up front on a custom mount and a 6" light bar in the back for some light while in reverse. Stay tuned
