Cookie Cutter EZGO
I just bought my first cart. This is the first vehicle that I have ever bought that was already somewhat modified.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1436112461.677743.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1436112471.060873.jpg It has the Rhox 6" drop spindle kit. I'm going to be changing it to a more stable kit ASAP. Not a fan of the drop spindle kit at 25 mph. It also broke both spindle zerks first trip out. I don't see any steering stops and the zerks bind up way before full lock. I'm just going to grease them and then remove them and cap the holes I guess. This is all new to me, this is a project that the family can enjoy and keeps me from pouring any more money into our rock crawler. It's a 2010 RXV retired from course duties with 4 new Trojans. I added the console as I got the dealer to through it in on the deal and put a Kenwood receiver and Memphis speakers in. I'm really enjoying the cart thing so far and the parts are way more easy on the wallet. |

Thx. Trying to learn as much as I can from here. It was obviously modified on the cheap since it was a dealer sale. The motor brake says made in China on it, it looks new though. I took the bushwacker style flares off and plugged the holes. Unfortunately they didn't paint properly under one of them so I will have to touch it up. What's this jumper like plug under the cup holder? Is that some sort of speed mod to put it in highest factory output? I didn't take any picks of it. We're happy with the cart so far. I have an ezgo soc gauge and harness coming, I'm hoping it will be plug n play. It definitely has very little low end torque but tons of high end.

Lowered the front 3" tonight. The thing was a death trap before. Drives so much better now. Looks like I will have to do a little trimming in the rear before lowering it to fit the 23s on without rubbing though. Gonna work on that Sat morning. Also found out that the rear axle was not centered under the cart.

The large tires are eating into the low end torque. The RXV is very sensitive when it comes to messing with the electrical system. I strongly suggest that you post in the EZGO section for more exposure and to consult with the RXV techs before you attempt any electrical work. |

Sounds good. The port has a plug in it, its not an open receiver. I do not plan on monkeying with the electrical system. Thx for the info.

Finished the rear.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1436743158.492054.jpg Trimmed the bumper just in case. Broke the rear bumper right off where I had trimmed it lol. Took me 30 minutes to find the dang tire and I only found 2 of the studs/lugs. Gonna get a couple more and locktite them this time. |

Yep. The one thing I found is that you have to check and tighten the spacer studs every time you remove the wheels.

SOC harness should be plug and play. As for low end torque I believe the AC 3 phase system is capable of having way more but it is turned down in the controller to keep it from destroying the rear hubs. Once it reaches a certain speed the full available torque is there.

I installed the SOC. It plugged right in. It only goes to 3/4 full when fully charged though. The batteries are date coded 6/15 12 volt Trojans. I figured that it would peg out.
