'88 Royal Ride project pics
Just found this site, awesome to see so much info in one place. Wish I would have found it sooner, would have saved me a ton of time in r&d.
Picked up a Royal Ride a few months ago and just about have it ready to go. Im currently working on a solid state conversion. I pieced it all together myself before I saw Scottyb has a complete kit. Doh! Here's a few pics of it so far, I'll post more when I get it 100% complete. Started out red, but had my heart set on silver. Took me a while playing with different springs/ride heights, but finally got the 13's to fit. |

GREAT LOOKINJG CART!!!! A JOB WELL DONE!!
oh and btw.....CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

Cart looks great!! welcome to the royal ride club. If that is the red one that was for sale in Palm springs area for a while looked like a great cart to start with and now looks even better! I was tempted to pick that thing up a while back just too far from Florida. You'll love the cart, nothing like them out there. You can see my Royal Ride in my Avatar pic, and I built a white bentley to go alone with it last month

The cart drove decent, but that resistor setup had to go! I have a newer Club Car and the difference is night and day. Solid state is the only way to go. Thanks for the replies everyone! I'll get some more pics up as soon as I get the new motor setup completed. |
