What did you pay for your first cart?
I'm on the hunt for a cart to lift for cruising around the neighborhood and I'm just wondering how good of a deal I should be trying to find?
So what did you pay for your first cart and what was it? Any suggestions on finding a good deal on a cart? Craigslist right now has 90's EZCar's base electric (unmodded) for around $1500. |

Paid 1k for our running driving ezgo marathon. Bone stock and I think the batteries lasted us 2 or 3 years. It was in pretty good shape and couldn't really find anything that would compare for the money.

Re: What did you pay for your first cart?
Traded a couple shotguns worth around $1100 for a 2006 TXT Series cart with a custom blue paint job and a rear seat. That's when I encountered the infection that started the sickness.lol Dumped about $4500 into that cart, but it was very fast when I was done with it. Hard to believe that was only three years ago and 5 carts later here I am.

Re: What did you pay for your first cart?
Found my first one free at the local dump. . It was a '91 marathon 2 stroke. Needed some wiring fixed and a battery.
I had it for over 5 years before scraping and getting my current G2. My current G2 was like $80 and was at the bottom of a pond briefly (bought three of them for like $200 in a package). |

Re: What did you pay for your first cart?
I paid $150 for my first cart. A stock G1. I did a few things to it including replacing crank seals and got it running. Then lift and tires. (I built the lift myself with help from others here)
I ended up with about $700 in my cart once it was lifted and running with new tires and wheels. What you have to spend on a cart depends on a lot of factors including how long your willing to look around for a deal as well as what all has already been done to it. If I were just perusing craigslist for something that didn't need a lot of work I'd expect to pay in the $1000 to $2000 range. Again dependent on what all has already been done to the cart. |
