Carolinasled's $1200 Limo + Build???
I ran across what I think was a deal and picked up this cart for $1200. My plan is to remove everything from my 91 ds cart (alltrax, hd solenoid, reversing contactor, wheels tires, stereo, lightbars, wires, switch box etc etc.....). Everytime we go camping a front and back seat is just beginning to be tight with the 5 of us.
Ran across this cart "broken" on facebook on a golf cart forum, it was 20 minutes from where I work. I offered to buy it, They wanted $1500 I offered 1200 and I picked it up asap before they changed their mind or someone else changed it for them. This is a 99 TXT Series Cart with a bad F/R switch. The only thing that really looks shotty is crimped ends on the 6ga cables and the lift kit. I jumped the f/r switch and took it for a cruise this morning before work. My plan is to swap all the parts between both carts and sell my 91 and hopefully make a dollar in return and have a bigger cart with more room. |

Looks like you did well.......... Should make you a good cart when you get all your stuff in it.
Then like you said, turn the other to help pay for the new one. |

Re: Carolinasled's $1200 Limo + Build???
I was poking around the cart after work today, I was checking the water in the batteries and pulled up the cover between the backseat and flip seat. The motor was blue. I got down and looked at it and its a D&D Motor.
D&D 170-006-0001-R to be exact. D297 Replacement Rated 8.6Hp Peak @ 4850 RPMS. Downfall rated for Non Lifted Carts, Stock Height Tires, No Back Seat.....LOL Pretty much contradicts this whole cart. Is it ok to run this at 48volts with a Alltrax 400amp controller, HD solenoid, Reversing Contactor and wires? |

Sled before you start pulling parts from the ds do you have parts to put back? If it were me I would just start over with all new goodies.

Re: Carolinasled's $1200 Limo + Build???
My plan is to put all the parts from this ezgo on the ds minus the controller. I need to find a controller that will work with the 0-5k pot box i put on the club car and then sell it. Im gonna strip the club car down and put all the accessories, electronics and goodies on this one. My wife and I have 3 kids that are steady growing. When we go camping a front and rear seat is packed, when their friends or one our parents want to ride there is no room.

Or just sell it without a controller to a bgw member. Then they can buy what they want
And I understand the no room issue. I had 5 carts at the lake last weekend and still ran out my bil had 1, each of my nephews had 1, my father was in 1 and my mom and sister were in theirs. I had to ride the 4 wheeler for pete's sake. |

also interested in that motor if it'll run on 36v and i'm located about 30m away from ya.
and any other parts off your old one! i have a '97 36v txt dcs.. [edit] noticed it was a series, booo. any sepex parts or hookups you know of around here, let me know. the dealers all gouge and the demand sends used prices sky high :\ |

MrD, post a wanted in the parts section for what you need. I'm sure someone has something. Worst case Plum Quick is just a couple hours away.
