Has anyone used these?
Looking at different audio options, and I stumbled across these speakers/amp. I am NOT looking for a head unit or cd player, just bluetooth only, and was wondering if anyone has a review on these.
Also, does anyone have some ideas on mounting these, so they are out of the way? I like that it has 4 speakers, considering I have a stretched cart. https://www.amazon.com/BOSS-MCBK470B...cycle+speakers Thanks guys!! |

I bought a a set up very close to this. I hooked everything up before installing it and was NOT impressed with the sound quality or volume what so ever. I returned everything and broke down and got a decent head unit and 4 speakers, WAY better.

Re: Has anyone used these?
There are other car amps that do BT now, going without a HU is pretty common and there are other ways to do it like BT receivers.
Those little speakers will fit on a bike nicely, but your not going to get good sound out of them without a sub and likely a midbass even. You can get BT head units pretty cheap now or go headless, but you will need some speakers that get it done if you want reasonable sound, and possibly an amp. |

I've been in the sound business for a while. There's no way that little amp puts out 1000 watts. Even with class D technology which is very light and small. 1000 watts would drive several 15 inch speakers with horns or 2 mid size subwoofers.

Classic marketing garbage. Been going on since the late 70s and really escalated in the 80s/early 90s. |

RMS The last band I played for I built a power amp setup containing 3 2500 watt stereo amps for the sub -- monitors -- mains. The 2500 watt output is listed as peak depending on how its wired. RMS is much lower -- beware of hype advertisement.

Re: Has anyone used these?
I think its PIPO or something, which is the point in which it catches fire more or less but will never see in normal use. I have 1Kw in my car (all class D) running pair of 15s IB, rears, comps in front, off a time alignment HU. Its loud enough to vibrate the roof no problem, could use some midbass but no time to rebuild my doors to that level and I really need to move on to a newer car, unfortunately. That is the worst part about car audio, just when you get the system working well you move to a new and different car. I stopped doing it for a while just for that reason. Heck now some people are buying BT portable speakers and using those for music in the car. Just for kicks one day I stuffed a little BT speaker I have in the front cubby of my G9 and off I went playing tunes off my phone, and it didn't work half bad lol. They integrate factory stuff into car radios so much now, people are putting amp and speakers in the car with the stock system, and use that for music and keep the stock system in there. Though they usually have some kind of processor for T/A and EQ to tune it in. Some use HUs, some old tablets or ipods even, as well as aftermarket processors.
