General Lee Golf Cart Build - Pic Heavy
Hello all, I have been creeping the forums for a few weeks and finally decided to join. I wanted to surprise my 9 year old on his birthday with a Golf cart that we can use in the neighborhood and for camping. He is a motor head like me. Basically I had 6 days to find a golf cart and convert it into a General Lee. I knew it was going to be like Overhauling with time getting down to the wire. I searched CL and found a 2006 Club Car DS with 1 year old batteries and a speed kit and rear seats already installed. One drive and I knew that was the one. Shelled out $1700 for her and loaded her in the pick up and started ordering parts. I dumped another $500 in parts to get her complete with Phase 1.
Phase 1 included the following mods: LED Light Kit Turn Signal and Brake Light Kit Electrical Upgrades Steering Wheel Upgrade Body Work Automotive Paint (1975 Chevy Flame Red which is the actual General Lee Paint Code) Decal Kit Dyed Seats Tan Dixie Air Horn Here are some of the photos of when I first got her. |

Looks awesome.
Being a gear head and a huge fan of the general lee it's a great job in my book. I have a set of those horns on my 79 Chrysler Córdoba(embarrassed a few of my friends back in high school with them haha fun times) |
