2000.5 Club Car DS Build
I've been working on the old 2000.5 CC DS I picked up over a year ago. It had been sitting several years. Someone had run it into something and bent the control arms and broke the steering link end. I hoped there was nothing else wrong since it was obviously running when wrecked. I picked up some used parts and replaced the broken suspension parts.

It sat for awhile because I didn't have any batteries for it. I hesitated to buy some new ones until I knew what if anything was wrong with the electricals. I bought a new set of trojans for my other cart and put the old ones in this one. Voila!!! it runs great. In the next few days I post some additional pics of the wheels I've ordered. The plan is to build a roadster with the Jake's windshield and Led lighting including headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights and daytime running lights. I also have a 36 volt series motor to give it a little extra speed. Comments are really appreciated. |

Re: 2000.5 Club Car DS Build
I got a few things accomplished yesterday. The headlights mount in the existing frame/body holes but when I tried to put the front bumper on it interfered with their brackets. I went through the bolt box and found some longer bumper bolts and added 1 1/4 inch spacers to move the bumper away from the frame. I think it looks pretty good. Everything is just trial fitted. Pay no attention to the headlights being aimed wrong. I hope to get to the taillights tomorrow.

sweet looking wheels and lights.. that's what I enjoy the most about this site, seeing others ideals gives me thoughts for my own project.
