Yet to be named '04 E-Z-Go Txt Series "Build"
Thought I would document my cart build. It'll be slow and boring. But here it is. I traded an '04 Polaris 4 wheeler for it and $500 cash. So I guess I did ok. Gas what supposed to be brand new Trojan batteries & 5 brand new tires and rims. I ordered a light kit, windshield, voltage converter, rocker switches, and some other stuff to get be started. It was nasty when I got it and cleaned up ok. Has some scratches and other body work that needs done. I plan on taking down to the frame this winter. I will then clean and paint the frame with some rustolium paint. Do some body work and plasti dip it camo tan. Maybe do the top the same, not real sure on that yet though. Here are a few pics to get things started.

Welcome to the addiction. Nice clean slate starting point. Looks a lot like the 2006 PDS cart I did a few months ago. Post lots of pics along the way.

The shift lever and serial # under the charge port suggest it is a series drive TXT.

Got some goodies in. Rockers for the lights and the horn. Also a voltage converter & replacement rivet kit for putting it back together.

Got my plasti dip in today. They said to paint it with gun metal gray first then the camo tan. Also got to test my speed. Had it up to 15mph but couldn't get the screen shot and drive. But got one at 13 mph. |

Got some goodies in today. Windshield, rocker panel, and led light kit. Didn't realize the light kit had a horn switch built into the turn signal. So I may just use that instead of the rocker. Not sure yet.
