Default Long time lurker with current g16 project

I started looking around on this forum years ago when I aquired a free g1 that was very rough, but got it cleaned up a bit and running and sold it to a friend. Since then I've been through multiple other projects a few boats, now a father etc.
But when my boss said he would sell me our extra cart from the farm for $300 I jumped on it and now here I am. It's been sitting for atleast 4 years before I hauled it home to get started. To start it was stolen at one point and put on its side in a ditch bending the roof supports and obviously buckling the roof I've got that almost straightened back out though. And they had the engine rebuilt before I started there as I'm the mechanic on all the tractors, semis and equipment etc. Or it would have been me.
Yet I had never heard it run as they thought the stater/gen was toast but didn't care as we also have an ezgo we use but I ordered a set of brushes put some fresh gas, spark plug, and fuel filter on and it fired up like it never sat a day in its life which made the wife happy so I greased up the clutches and my wife and kid probably put 4 miles on it that day.

We plan to buy a lake house or houseboat in a few years so might as well get this g16 ready now my plans are

*Radio and 2 6.5" speakers already almost finished
*going to weld up and bend my own rear seat setup, have the material just need to haul it back to use the welder
*dark metallic grey paint to match my truck
*some black/machined 12" wheels with lo profile tires
*hitch setup for pulling a yard cart etc.
*HD rear springs
*aftermarket steering wheel
*get seats redone

I hated the white seat so to get it by I used dupli-color vinyl paint as well as painted the rims with appliance epoxy

Speaker templates and will be fiberglassing the head unit in

Time for body work and cleaning

Usc icing going on

Did a quick spray to make sure I'll be happy with the color

Sometimes, where you start the thread is why not many replies. If this was in the gas Yamaha section, you'd have alot more. Time to pull out the high pressure washer again after pulling of the front cowel Keep posting, we love build pictures

Guess I'm the only person that only searches new posts, but if I get home at a decent time tomorrow I'm going to pressure wash the front half and do some more body work.
