2000 Workhorse...big block
Hey guys so I've been lurking around here for awhile. I've been gathering parts here and there for about three years. Finally found a cart with potential. It's a 2000 Workhorse in decent shape frame was pretty bad but I knew it most likely would be. The motor was done it ran but smoked really bad and would lose power when it got warmed up... well I have decided to big block it. I have started the transition fixed the frame so far have a motor and started to install I think to be the last strech plastic A-arm kit lol and I made 2 inch blocks to give it 8 inches and will be putting rhino coilovers on the rear. Well this is the start can't wait for it to be finished!!!

Nice work I bet she will look great when done. I have the ST350 and I just bought an ST400 cart as a project.

Man I called strech like 3 years ago and asked if they had a kit..the sales guy went out to the back and said yea I have enough to put together a kit. When it showed up some pieces were black, silver, and some were bare metal. Been sitting up in my attic and finally got it down and took it and had it all powder coated.

Re: 2000 Workhorse...big block
I used allsports kit on my 350 cart the rear they supplied long shackles to raise the rear witch I hated the look of for two reasons one is that it will move the tire forward in the wheel well two the cart just looks silly from the rear with them sticking out in plain view. Had a friend machine a lift block out of aluminum drilled a hole on one side and taped the other side and installed a ss allen headed bolt for alignment then painted them black. The 400 cart I was thinking of using the jakes kit on it. But yeah good score on the stretch kit.

Nice work
I built up a 2000 workhorse years ago. It is still running great. I used a Strech LT up front and made a 4 link rear. It was a fun project and it rides smooth in the worst terrain. |
