Hot Rod EZ-GO
This is an Ez-Go I did about 15 years ago. The body was discarded, frame stretched, suicide dropped front axle scratchbuilt using some of the original componants, custom body built using steel and wood. Engine was Honda 360 motorcycle. Was very fast! Had all street-legal equipment except for windshield wiper!
Sorry for the grainy pics...they are pics of original print photos. Before: During build: After: Kruzn |

Yes, the 5-speed bike trans was used. It connected via chain to a 90 degree gearbox under the firewall and then a driveshaft to the rear end. Shifting was accomplished using a modified Hurst shifter with cable control to the trans. Reverse was a custom-built electric unit using a Ford starter motor, gear reduction jack shaft and chain drive to rear end yoke. It would smoke the tires in first gear and chirp them in 2nd. Not sure how fast it would really go. I chickened out around 60! Unfortunately I sold it about 10 years ago to a guy in Chicago who was taking it to his family farm in Wisconsin where he actually had paved golf cart roads! |

Re: Hot Rod EZ-GO
We used to take it to car shows to both show and drive around. Here it is at Goodguys in Indianapolis.
