Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
Now we have a pallet of replacements bolts, plastics, new alltrax, and misc other parts on the way from David at Revolution.
Also on the way is: Jakes LT lift kit 23" tires 14" wheels Tsunami front and rear cushions and a genesis 300 rear seat. Still trying to get in touch with plum quick to get an executioner motor And thanks to a member here there will be a 58v lithium pack getting put in I don't get as much time as i want to work on this but a couple hours Sunday mornings usually, with 2 small kids and a wife it's hard to find the time. This weekend is pressure wash the frame and possibly paint it and paint the roof until I order the 84" black roof. Also going on this is a Madjax Alpha Street body kit in Blue and stereo and neon's with a whole bunch of other stuff. I am sure i forgot some of the parts when ordering so it will slow me down but i can't wait to get this thing up and running as i use a golf cart around the house every day. Any tips for a rookie putting it all together? LOL |

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
Upper captiva, that amusing to me. Sorry, from the area.
Anyway, look back a few threads as someone mentioned some challenges they had with the Alpha body. Not saying it is a bad body but it is a bit more work to install apparently. So far looks like a great job. I am myself am hoping to find a cheap one like that to build a second cart in the future. Wife wants a themed cart so have to make her happy at some point. |

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
I saw the posts about the body kit being a bit of a pain, but honestly to me it is the best looking kit out there so it will be worth the extra effort. Just have to get a new axle, motor, and the body and I'm sure a few more things to get it all put together and running.

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
I was able to get a little work done on the cart over the last couple nights after the kiddo's make it to bed. Created a Dexter Kill Room (makeshift paint booth) and painted the top black. It didn't come out as good as i wanted so i will have to feather it a little to get it right. I had no idea there was actually technique involved in spray painting but i got it figured out towards the end and i think i can make it look a lot better.

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
Yesterday i painted the frame and started to install the Jake's Long Travel Lift kit. I didn't have the front bumper bolts as mine were rusted so a trip to Lowe's to get started. The hardware pack was also short 1 shock mount bolt and by this time, it was time to cook the kid's and wife dinner. I will pick up the bolt today and get back at it sometime this week.

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
Got the bolt from the local hardware store and got the rest of the front lift installed last night. The only thing left is the King Pin bolts were not in the hardware pack so i will swing by the hardware store again and get those tightened up. Until the pallet of parts arrives the only thing left for me is to finish up some painting of parts. Hopefully the pallet will be here this week so i can work on it some more this weekend.

Re: 2008.5 Resto Mod
Nice looking build so far.
I gotta ask.....why do you have 6 new tires piled up? Are you gonna resto mod the zero turn mower as well? |
