Default Who makes my cart

I bought a cart used here in Florida it looks a-lot like a ez go but im positive isn't a ez go. I want to refresh the front suspension, I also got it wet other day and it wouldn't go forward or reverse for a while until I dryed everything out. so I would like to know what I need to do to make it more water resistant. It says made in china. Is there a place to trace it through the vin. Any help would be great thanks in advance guys. I found the original sales slip and it says spirit freshman

Looks like an EZGO TXT.

It looks similar to an EZGO TXT but some things are different or missing. I don't see the indentation in the front cowl where the EZGO logo plaque would be. Also, I have never seen a TXT throttle pedal actuated to the slanted portion of the floorboard. Usually the operating parts are below the pedal under the floorboard.

yeah i see the similarity to that cart to but its a weird throttle its actually a swing down unit that i put something from the floor to the unit for more smooth power application. It will do 28 mph I think it gets there pretty quick but i dont have any golf cart experience except this one. Im new to the cart game. Its 48 volt has a dcx controller.

The tag that says made in China doesn't show the manufacturer's name?

Pictures are small and I would like to see the entire battery compartment but this looks to be one of many chinese EZGO clones. Some of them are better copies than others but they all have this in common: Generally, EZGO parts won't fit. Little to no factory support to individual owners or even dealers. Dealers tend to be around for awhile and then disappear probably because they can't get parts. It's not uncommon for independent repair shops to shy away from them or even refuse to touch it.
In your case the controller, an Alltrax DCX is american made but not original to the cart. It is a sepex controller but meant primarily for EZGO DCS carts (roughly 1995-2000) where directional switching was done separate from the controller although not like series carts. The person who wired this in may be the only one in existence who knows how it was done. I'm sure a talented golf cart mechanic could figure it out but would he want to and at what price.
My advice, if you care, would be to sell it while it is running and get a real EZGO, ClubCar or Yamaha. Watch out for clones of them also.

here are some pics of the battery compartment. I am starting out carting and this is a good start point for me I spent so little so I don't care about selling it right now. I would like to put some new bushings on the front end. I will bring it to a shop and see if they can recommend some parts that will work. Thanks for your time guys
