Burrito Cinco
No telling where this will end, so might as well get started. Basic course surplus cart. Clutches need work. Dug about 5-gal of compacted dust and dirt from under it.

Re: Burrito Cinco
WHOA! Blank canvas??!! Excuse me, but can't you see that number 5 racing decal? That's pretty cool. Barely 1 in 9 single-digit racing mumbers are a "5", so also fairly rare.
There is another 5 on the other side. Twice the 5, but still not a 10. It's tricky but I figured it out. |

Got back seat on it, and windshield on order. Will order clutch rollers and belt from Plowmans tomorrow.
Daughter likes aqua and turquoise so might let her pick out some spray paint (her 9th birthday is next week so gotta do it). I'll also need some replacement "5" stickers. |

Re: Burrito Cinco
Ok, after some thought I have a vision the the cart. Aside from a casual cruiser for my wife and kids I'll equip it with one of my ham radios. I don't enjoy ham radio, but I appreciate emergency preparedness. But mounting any radio, let alone a transceiver, poses particular challenges with a golf cart. Not all antennas perform without a ground plane.
Proper emergency comms cart should have some racks for storing field-portable antenna masts, antennas, an additional battery, provisions for attaching solar panel to roof, charging stands for common hand-held radios, a few cigarette lighter jacks, USB charger jacks, and wouldn't a 1kw inverter generator under the rear seat be nice. If no generator then at least a quality inverter without too much RF noise. So as not to screw it up for family use these items should be easily attached and detached from the cart. |

Re: Burrito Cinco
Pulled the primary in anticipation of my new Plowmans arriving so couldn't use it. If I can't drive it, might as well work on it. Pulled the valve cover and adjusted valves. They were at around 0.007". Was very pleased to see how unbelievably clean is was inside the rocker box.
