Basket Case
Here are a few shots of the Mean Green Garage Queen!
Fresh back from the car wash to get the years of abuse washed squeaky clean. Up on stand with a tap root sprouting already reaching for my wallet? Most expensive 50 bucks I have spent yet. Found the left rear engine pan cracked. The Plenty of fabricoble has been done over the years. Along with numerous wiring mods with rats nest precision. The Honda GX390 was total junk. Valves rusted stuck in guides, cylinder looked like the surface f the moon. The clutch assembly would not separate in one piece from the crank. The starter generator pulley is in the scrap bin still firmly perma welded by rust to the crank. The clutch blew apart trying to remove it with brute force of a slide hammer. I tried the correct tool for removal and the threads pulled from the shaft and just mocked me for over an hour while I attempted to remove it with no avail. I stripped everything I could from the engine and brought it home in two 16x4x 16 boxes. I did manage to get the flywheel off and the cart came with a serviceable NAPA Gold battery. 20180421_154458.jpg 20180421_154513.jpg 20180421_154355.jpg 20180421_154424.jpg 20180421_154618.jpg |
