Club Car DS Turbo Project Cart
The story, i was a golf course superintendent/mechanic for 20 years. I had left and took a 88' CC DS and a 93' CC Carry All II both without engines. I'm starting with the DS and was going to keep it simple and just do an a A-Arm lift and buy a used fe290 and be done. But I became addicted and decided I wanted it to be an extreme all around off road cart. As you all know things change and fabrication has to be done. I started with disassembly of the cart. I clean and sanded the front half of the frame to give it a brushed look. Then put on 3 coats of clear.

Re: Club Car DS project
Then the planning starts. The Jakes Long Travel was about the only suspension kit I could seem to find. I really didn't want to fabricate a coil over front end. So I went with the jakes kit along with the the jakes disk brakes. Spending a lot of time searching I chose the GTW machined black storm trooper rims and 23x10-12 GTW Barrage tire.

Re: Club Car DS Turbo Project Cart
How’s the ride on the barrage tire? I’m looking to get them but I’m afraid the wife-spaced lugs would vibrate real bad on pavement, especially at low speed.

The project continues. finished the rear end with coil overs and 4 link. After I assembled realized a couple modifications need to be changed. Will update on progress.

That looks really nice. It's got me thinking I made a mistake buying new and should have picked up a used one and rebuilt it from the ground up exactly how I wanted it.
