Surf's up!
The Woodie sitting in front of the local surf shoppe here in Garden City SC. It went to the car show for 3 days straight. I had a lot of people ask about it. Nobody wanted it after I gave them a price.

Re: Surf's up!
Thank's! The surf shoppe are the ones who sold me the board for it. They are across the street from our park here at the beach. Really nice people who own it. He does a lot of charity work here locally for kids.
Woodie will be going back to 72 volts soon enough. 11 MPH isn't going to cut it @ 48 volts. |

Re: Surf's up!
Thanks I got the DS cart rear axle housing off and taking it home with me Thursday. Woodie will be back to 72 volts by the end of next week I hope if I don't run into any problems.
It want be 45 MPH but should be in the 20's I hope. |

Re: Surf's up!
We had some home improvements done this week at the beach house. I was talking to the guy who did the work for us. He builds custom furniture also and he is going to make me a wood fin for the board.

Re: Surf's up!
Woodie is now back to 72 volts. Now I have to fix the doors some how to keep them from flying open at speed. In the video this is what happened at the top of the hill when it blacks out. The drivers side door flew open. I went today and bought several sets of magnets. Going to see if I can mount them to hold the doors shut.
I'm also looking into disc brakes for it also so if anybody has info and personal experience with a kit let me know. |
