Non Folding Rear Seat Ideas
I have a 99 club car DS with a non folding rear seat. the entire thing is aluminum, and I just recovered the seat and back cushions and replaced the rusty screws, bolts, and rotted plywood. (picture is old)
I miss having a bed (had a utility bed on my last cart) and I use that more than the rear seat. Rear seat is handy a couple times a year but i'm thinking A bed would be more useful most of the time. i Have a long roof too so I'm not sure how stupid that would look over a bed but who cares I was wondering if anybody had made some sort of deck or bed to put over their rear seat. If I install a folding seat I'll have to take off that entire aluminum setup and that doesn't excite me. Plus I think this non folding seat is bigger than the folding ones anyways. Seeing if anybody had made something to utilize the back of their carts if they had a non folding seat. May have to suck it up and replace it with a folder or a bed |

Re: Non Folding Rear Seat Ideas
It looks like the rear seat cushion sits inside a "Tray" there. Maybe just remove the rear seat cushion, and build a flat deck, you should be able to attach an "L" bracket to the grab handle in the very back for support. You could put some tabs around the front part so it's supported by the seat tray, but still easily removable if you just lift it out, and put the seat cushion back in.
Since that rear cushion sits in that tray I don't know that it would necessarily need to be bolted down. |

I just rebuilt my seat so I actually know how it’s mounted haha. The seat is screwed to the tray around the edges. It’s essentially just a rectangle made out of angle iron (aluminum). Then using t nuts in the wood it is bolted to the two flat pieces that support the bottom that go front to back over the bag well. I could pull those bolts and make something that bolts right onto those braces like the seat does possibly. Good idea I didn’t think about that since I don’t need four seats a whole lot .... a flip seat would be nice but it’s probably going to cost me more than it would to just remove my current seat. Unless these setups like I have are worth something. But then my flip seat cover wouldn’t match anyways |

Also the band rail in the middle screws to the bottom of the seat. I was hoping i could come up with something easy to slap on and off but I might have to make the sacrifice haha
