My 2005 Precedent - First project
2005 Club car precedent purchased from a coworker after sitting in his barn for about 8 years. It even came with a snake (unknowing to all of us) and my wife happened to find it in our garage the night I brought it home. So far I’ve put in new Trojan batteries, reupholstered the front seat, found a replacement top (he lost the original top bringing it to me), light kit, volt meter, 6” jakes a arm lift and 14” wheels with 23” tires.

Looks great. How do you like the ride with the lift and 23” tires?

Thanks! It actually rides really good. The bushings were shot from the factory suspension, so it was pretty bad before and liked to wander a bit. I will probably buy heavy duty springs because I am getting some rubbing in the rear, but overall I’m happy with it.

Looks good. Mine was like that after it came from a golf course fleet. As with any modding hobby, it isn’t like that anymore.
One option for springs to check out are the dual action ones. Maintains the ride unloaded but has the extra heavier duty leaf when there are people in the back. |

Re: My 2005 Precedent - First project
Thanks, I’m happy with it... for now! I’ve got a project 79 Jeep CJ7 which also gets a lot of attention and will probably never be done!
I will look into those springs as well. I usually just have my wife, toddler and myself on it, so it’s not that bad, but I did have 4 adults on it this weekend and the rubbing was fairly noticeable. I had trouble getting the drivers side leaf spring front bolt out due to corrosion, so when I replace the springs I’ll have to get that bolt out. The bolt would spin so I assume m it is just corroded to the bushing sleeve. When I added the blocks and spring over axle lift I just rotated the axle out of the way to get the leaf spring on top for the current lift set up. |

Awesome and thanks! I think next on the list for mine is a wrap, black top and black seats and clays basket. I want to do a white, black and orange digital camo wrap on it. We are Clemson fans living near UGA so I’ve got to incorporate orange on it somehow without getting too much crap from the neighbors!
