Identify electric golf cart
Any info on what kind of golf cart this is? Potentially next project, if worth putting possibly new electronics in it and other upgrades.

Club Car "Caroche". The hydrolic brake system is a nightmare!

I have long wanted to restore a Caroche and even have access to free one behind a barn. Alas, the brakes are killers on those. They use a car-like brake set up with master cylnder, wheel cylinders, etc., none of which are still available. I have read that there are some suitable parts substitutes out there but nothing that was a sure thing.

The wheel and master cylinders were never my problem really. It was the "stamped steel" drums. Seems they would go "egg shaped" with all the hydrolic pressure. Also, the aftermarket brake linings were less then good. Let's not even get into when the park brake/brake and accelerator pedal shaft starts to bind up!

Member Aflyer has been doing an excellent job at restoring a Caroche based vehicle. I know he has a solution to the brake issues for his. Might be worth a PM to him.

Thanks everyone for the info. Ended up bringing it home last night. Guy said "it runs" he got it as a package with newer club car so gave it away for very cheap! Came with charger and 3 12volt trojan batteries. Was these caroche 36 volt carts?
Body and roof is in excellent shape. Missing bottom seat. Air bag it? |
