VW's 2001 Club Car Project

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to start my thread for my cart project that will begin in a few weeks on vacation in NC. I will post post pics along the way and plan to solicit ALOT of help from the experts here

Cart Specifics:
2001 Club Car 48v (AC0147)

Planned Upgrades:
Motor Upgrade (more torque)
Controller Upgrade
F/R Switch Upgrade
Solenoid Upgrade
4 Guage Wire Upgrade All Around
8" A-Arm Lift
12x7 ITP SS108 Two-Tone Machined Aluminum Wheel

Any comments or suggestions I'd appreciate....

Pulled the trigger on a majority of my initial parts this morning:

Items Ordered:
1) 8" A-Arm Lift Kit (Allsports)
2) 12" x 7" Tsunami Chrome Wheels
3) 25" x 10.5" - 12" Carlisle All-Trail Tires
4) HD 4-Guage Cable Set
5) 24v-48v to 12v, 25A Voltage Reducer
6) Diamond Plate - Floor
7) Diamond Plate - Kick Panel
8) Diamond Plate - Access Panel
9) Diamond Plate - Side Inserts
10) Carbon Fiber GT Steering Wheel
11) Steering Adapter Hub "Mega Series"
12) Designer Steering Column Cover
13) Stainless Steel Nerf Bar with Diamond Plate Inlay
14) Stainless Steel Mega Front Bumper

Items Still To Order:
a) 6 - 8v Trojan T865's (will get locally when I get to NC)
b) Motor & Controller Upgrade (still looking into these)

Yeah, its 'supposed' to be a little project while on vacation; I hit the road in one week and hope that can curtail the spending
