I got this from a friend. It didn't run and needed a lot of work. I'll work on getting more updated pictures as I go. I have been working on this for quite some time now. So far I've rebuilt the stock engine, repaired a lot of bad worn out wiring, ripped off uneeded parts, got the body painted and put some nicer wheels/tires on it. I need to take some updated pics, but this is all I have so far. I know everyone like to see the before/after pictures. It looks like crap in these pictures, but it's getting better.

Here's some pics with the body sitting on the cart. I recently mounted the body and put some seats on it. This weekend I'm going to fix the steering column as it's very stiff and doesn't turn easy. Then I'm going to put some lighting on the front and finish up some other minor things. Since these pictures I've also added diamond plate to the dash, kick panel and side rails, and back foot rest.

Thanks guys! It's a slow and sometimes expensive process, so that is why it's taking me a while. I've found sites like this and local yamaha dealers who have made my experience with this project fun and a great learning experience. Thanks everyone for your help and kindness to share information and experiences. Soon I'll be cruising in style! :-) Last edited by uid73721; 10-26-2007 at 09:27 AM..

| Gone Wild | I think older honda Civic lights flow with the body. I remember seeing them on a G1 awhile back. Maybe you could get some for cheap |

My friend is a painter and he worked on this body for about 14 hours. There was a piece about 6" x 4" completely missing from the side, as can be seen in the original photos. He also had to repair lots of misc. screw holes and cracks throughout the rest of the body. The color is almost a tomato soup red, but in the light there is metalic flake in there that reflects lots of orange and yellows. It's not my favorite color, but he had the paint laying around, so it was free, which is my favorite price
