02 IQ re-build
Made it home from vacation, and went to work! I bought two identical 2002 IQ carts about a month ago. I am in the process of rebuilding one of them. This will be my first attempt to rebuild. I am building this cart for my 6 year old son and wife so they can cruise the cart at ocean lakes (on all of her vacations). Trust me I may be spending a lot of $ on this cart, but after you rent a cart 4 times a year you have around 1200 in rental fees. So far I have completely disassemble this cart, rebuilt the battery boxes, cleaned, painted, and installed a 6" super sport lift. So far everything has went smooth. Will have more pictures later....

Re: 02 IQ re-build
Had a chance to work on cart today. I finished the rear lift kit as I started the wiring I noticed that brake cables were too short. I got them hooked up and the brakes work, but are too tight to hook in the clip...Any suggestions? Or do they make a longer cable?

Howdy jack... Nice work. Use the u bolts to rotate the axle towards the bag well. This will angle the cables/mounts upwards and allow you to hook up the cables...

Re: 02 IQ re-build
This is what I hope for!!! My wife and my boy seen the cart while at the beach this year, and fell in love with the green. Hopefully in a few months I will have one like it...

Re: 02 IQ re-build
Thats the great thing about building your own cart. You can do whatever you want. That green and white does look good.

Re: Progress 02 IQ re-build
WOW it's taking a long time! So far, I have the head lights and tail lights cut out (what a job). Installed the dash, it's carbon fiber, yep I am proud of that. We have ordered and extended elite top and back seat, as well as seat covers. The cart is primed, sanded and ready to paint. All we need now is paint to match the seat covers!! Then I will see if I have painting skills. Next pictures will hopefully be one awesome paint job on one awesome cart
