the kawasaki-harley
hey guys,i replaced the points and condensors in the 340 and it seemed to have good spark.i put it all ack together and started it up and it ran pretty goofy.it would randomly rev up and bog down alot.this morining i took it apart again because i found out the clutch side was now not sparking.everything seems to be ok.the powerpacks are fine and all tests lead to the staor/points setup.
any ideas? thanks |

Re: the kawasaki-harley
Does it use a single or dual points/capicitor?

Re: the kawasaki-harley
I've had new capacitors that have been bad or a poor connection between the cap and holder. Can you switch them around to see if it switches sides?

Re: the kawasaki-harley
I know the old amf harleys points were like that, i had a harley sprint and they would run one day, then it wouldnt run for a day, then the next its fine.Did you file down the contacts if they were dirty or burnt.
