Electric cart in mud?!?!
hi im new to the golfcart thing. i cant really do anything to my golfcart thats expensive because its my dads. he doesnt really drive it. its pretty much just me. its the best way to get around for a 13 yr old. there is a mudding/ offroad trial that me and my friends ride dirt bikes on and i was wondering if the golfcart would make it through. like where can water touch and not touch on the cart? im looking at buying these off road tires that dont need a lift kit. but theyre 48 dollars each. cant afford tires and lift right now. but im becoming a lacrossee reffery soon. so will be makeing around 120 a week. if you have found a cheap lift kit.(less than 150) that would be great! but how deep of water can i drive in because theres LOTS of muddy puddles.

Re: Electric cart in mud?!?!
The speed controls cannot take water either can the battery tops .... basically any electric connection is prone to shorting out if it is covered in wet mud

Re: Electric cart in mud?!?!
I always wonder what happens if the batteries are completely submerged in water. Is it possible for them to short out and explode or is water not conductive enough?

Re: Electric cart in mud?!?!
Not that is recommended, but YES an electric cart will go in the mud. Here are some older videos of me on an electric DCS cart with 24" Dirt Devils:

Hey there kiddo. What kind of cart do you have? I may have a cheap lift and old set of tires n wheels you could throw on there if all your looking to do is go splash through a few puddles.

Dang dude! You must have some mega warehouse full of used parts. You always seem to be buying or selling.

My electric will go where my buddies gas wont. His belt gets wet and slips.
