My New Royal Ride
Well I did it again. Found a deal I couldn't pass up. It looks to be a 1986 with Club car running gear. She needs an overhaul. That lift is the screwyist (is that a word) thing I've ever seen. Talk about redneck engineering.
Plans are to rip that lift off and not look back. Then I will put the correct lift on it to clear 12" rims. Probably do a frame off and rebuild this classic back to it glory. I am thinking at this point to install all new electronics and this has the solenoid and resistor coils in it now. It does run and move, at least in reverse. Any advise as to where to find parts for this cart. I need bumpers, grill, odd and ends, and tail lights Plus I will have to get all the things to convert it to 48 volts the right way. It does have 6-8 volt batteries in it now and a newer club car charger that I will sell off and get the correct charger for. I'm sure the solenoids will not handle the higher voltage for very long. Enough babble, here are the pics. |

Start checking the junk yards for some cool high back buckets. |

Re: My New Royal Ride
Potential, yes it does have that. Body is surprising good. Only one bad spot around the tail light. Frame looks good so far. That was the only things I was worried about. I figured suspension was already toast and it does run so that was a plus.
