Default My new/used E-Z-Go

Don't know how I did on this purchase and unfortunately I did not find this site until after I bought the cart - and learned how to read the manufacturers code

I thought I was buying a 2002 36V with 2 year old batteries.

Turns out I bought a 98 with 5 year old batteries.

The cart supposedly was lightly used by a cart community resident in Florida, until he moved to a new community that required all tan Club Cars ???

The pictures don't show it as bought because I had to remove some items to get it in my trailer.

It's red, I like the color. The seats are like new under the covers. It has a hard top, 5 segment mirror, cooler, bucket for "divot sand" ( I guess, I am not a golfer). Wheel covers too.

Front and rear lights that don't work (fronts), intermittent horn. Overall it it looks pretty good. I'm not sure how much rust is considered normal on a cart, but there is some where I would expect it.

Craigs list ad - he wanted $2495, I paid 2200, thinking it was a 2002. To be honest, had it been listed as a 98 I would not even have gone to look at it.

Actually 6 years old, date code is C 4
But the voltages are all fairly even. It seems to run good, but I don't really know how it should run. Last cart I drove was labor day weekend and that was a 48V regen cart.

The battery tray looks like it has some rust. There are areas all around the car that have some rust, some heavy. None of it looks like it has affected it structurally.

Needs a rear $20 bumper too.

I forgot to add in the 1st post, it also has a foul weather canvas and a big ugly fan (that is off already)

Just wondering. The same thing happened to me 2 months ago.Found it on craigslist,it was listed as a 2006 ezgo txt.Come to find out it is a 1998 but was restored in 2006.It is in good shape but i don't think the guy took care of the batteries properly.I only get about a mile on them,so i am replacing them this up coming weekend.I paid 2300.00 for it and now another 600.00 for batteries.oh well live and learn.Having fun customizing it anyway.
