2003 Club Car LE - have you seen these before?

Newbie here in Wisconsin and looking at buying 1st cart. I visited a dealer and he had a 2003 Club Car LE that he said came straight from Club Car as is. Does anyone know anything about these limited edition carts? Was it truly built like this from the factory? Is there anyway to verify that? Are these collectors items if built in limited numbers? What should I expect to pay for something like this? The dealer said it was 11k new from CC. It's hard to know if he's being honest or blowing smoke. Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

In 2003 Chrysler and Club Car did make some 10,000 NEV carts but I hadn't seen any with that cowl on them. The NEVs had all the street legal stuff including a 12v wiper. What all does the cart have on it? What can it do ?

I don't think it had wipers, but it had lights, turn signals, horn, break lights, trunk release, and he said the plexiglass type holders were stock for that model. It has some nice compfy seats that were supposedly stock for this model. although I'm not sure how much I'd want cloth seats if it were to start raining. What I find odd, is if this was a stock build off the showroom floor, how come I can't find anything on it? Either I was fed a lot of hot air, or this might be a very rare cart.

That cowl as far as I know did not come with the NEV carts!! So I may be a little??? I do know that the rear bars are not the same as the NEV carts that they had. They had the thick round bars on the cart with the belts on them. So if you want my opinion that cart did not come from CC like that, but thats my opinion!

Flack, def cool looking. If you question if it is a factory build, get a ser# and call CC or post it. There are a few CC dealer folks on this forum who can go look in the books..

http://reading.craigslist.org/rvs/1663287052.html That is the only style LSV carts I have ever seen from CC before! Do you see what I mean bu the thickness of the bars?? Don't pay attention to the rear seat just the rear roof struts! I have had a few of them in the shop within the past couple of years for repairs and the on that you are looking at looks nothing like that. And the new 2010 has a new front end.

i will get the serial number tomorrow from the dealer. Thanks for all the replies. I wasn't that overwhelmed by its looks when I first saw it because its sitting in a showroom of all 2010 EZGOs that are all decked out......and then this club car, but I have spent many many hours over the past week scouring the internet, and I can't find another. But for one reason or another, I'm getting excited about this cart.

I will say that the front end is an aftermarket! I have one siting in the garage at the shop, but I forget who I got it from. It was purchased at least 4 years ago.

strech plastics has a front end like that and i thing there another company but they might have all copied the factroy
