The Original Blown Golf cart
I finally got this thing put back together after the "facelift. I new that sooner or later I was going to get tired of "golf course green" This cart has been a test mule for all sorts of modifications and test parts for the last 5 years. I started with building the superchargers and kind've got carried away after that. Now it just sees duty as a race support vehicle and a test driver for anyone that wants to see how good it runs! It sees 6000+ rpm and over 10 lbs of boost everytime I drive it and has for the last 5 years. These engines are tough!

Re: The Original Blown Golf cart
As far as I know, the block is stock, rods and all. Fred is helping with a build I've been working on for about a year. All the bottom end is stock on it.
That is a professional engine builder. Very good work. Looks good Fred. One hell of a sleeper |

Re: The Original Blown Golf cart
Thanks for all the feedback. Wow, I didn't expect this much interest.
Yes the bottom end of the engine is completely stock. The only mods are a ported head and some of my stainless valves and hi-rev springs. The cam is even original. It has an MSD ign and coil, billet aluminum flywheel and some clutch mods in addition to the supercharger. In the process of testing different parts this same engine has seen 7000 rpm and over 16 lbs of boost! All of that has been with the stock bottom end. After 5 years of this it is beginning to get a little tired but what engine wouldn't? It still hauls A**! I still build the supercharger kits and am working on a more affordable ign kit (the MSD is getting a little expensive). Fred ps; will try for some video soon |
