New to the site/ My EZ GO build pics
Hi guys, just found this site a few days ago. Lots of good ideas.Fantastic area for information and parts.
Just wanted to share a few pics of my low budget rebuild. Picked up an 86 Marathon, not bad shape, bald tires and broken motor mounts.Fixed the motor mounts and found a set of barely used take offs online for 200 bucks. After a few abusive rides by my son found out secondary clutch was trashed and prev owner homebuilt lift was not good. 3 out of 4 shocks broken due to incorrect travel. Needless to say we are in rebuild mode, pulled motor frame and so far am rebuilding motor, built my own motor mounts, new coil buckets with about 5in lift, Fleet Farm shocks, cut off all cobbled passenger seat metal( about 40 lbs worth) and fabbed flip up seat with area for cooler underneath, Flat Black paint with dark blue skull camo. Here are the cut/clean pics and I will put a few more on once I get my camera back. |
