Re: Gave my Son a project.....
Primed frame and started repainting black as well..... ran out of daylight so will have to complete the blackout tomorrow.......
Still have to decide on the voltage for the cart, final color (Wife wants Purple but we'll see.....) and what options he is gonna want on the cart. Already have Controller (700AMP GE), Motor (D394 GE 8HP @ 36volts or 11 HP @ 48 volts), Solenoids (Main and 2 for F&R), HD rear Leaf Springs, all new bushings (including new shock bushings). |

Re: Gave my Son a project.....
Budget is going to play a huge factor in this cart. The plan so far:
GE 700 Amp controller GE Motor New Main contactor (Chinese 400 AMP continous) dual 6 pole solenoids for F&R (WR 586) 2 Gauge welding cable throughout New HD Rear Springs New bushings New Brake Cables Professional Paint Job for Body Panels (Rattle can just don't offer enough color choices and I can get the paint done at a reasonable cost) Recover the seats (have a nice Black and White seat cover set I plan to use) Head/Tail/Turn signals Underbody Hitch Voltage Reducer Things that are still up in the air: Lift Kit (I want a long travel and I like the looks of the Stretch design although I have always used Jakes in the past) Tires/Wheels (gonna be based on whether or not we lift the cart) Rear Flip Seat Extended Roof (based on the rear seat option) Stereo (I prefer an overhead console but I may go in the dash if we do this) Underbody lights (LED of course) Winch we finished spraying the black (first coat) on the frame today before the rain forced us to halt. Hopefully this week we should be able to get the final coat of black on it. Gonna work on the Control box this afternoon since it can be done out of the weather. Will post pics when it is set up and ready for mounting. |
