Low budget seats.
Got rid of my old cart and picked up this XRT1500. The first thing was to add some rear seats. I have been looking for a bench that i could modify to fit in the bed. Havent had any luck finding something that i like. So i went shopping in my buddy's junk yard. Found a Dodge Minivan and poached the middle seat. Just unbolted the bottom brackets and made some feet. Fits mint. Best part it was free. Even has built in seatbelts! Added some handles off an old carryall, just need to reinforce them so they dont bend out the sides of the bed. The kids love it.

Good score. I gave another member the old bench seat out of my S-10 race truck for his Carry-All rear seat, fit perfectly!

Re: Low budget seats.
Thanks guys. I went through 15 different types of vehicles. Jeep wranglers are 35" wide...other mini vans were 38" & 40" finally found one that was 48" to fill the width of the bed. It wasnt what I had planned, but it is growing on me.
Now half of the fun will be using the hydraulic lift to dump people out if they get too rowdy! (just kidding). |

Re: Low budget seats.
I've got a Caravan seat with shorty legs on it just for general purpose drinking.
One would be hard pressed to find a better seat. If ya put a cooler at one end to rest your feet; they sleep pretty good too. If ya poke around a bit, you'll find a couple bolts that you can pull out to drop the seat back down flat. |
