Default Restomod '78 Harley....

Hello everyone. First post but I've been lurking for a while and working on a cart that I bought a couple of months ago. You guys have some awesome, awesome carts! Nice to know that I'm only fringe crazy in the golf cart world.

It's a '78 Harley electric. Just finished it up last night and just had to show it off.

The chassis was really rusty in the back so I found a parts cart for $150 and whacked the rear of the chassis off (it's gas but doesn't run) and welded it onto the electric one. The chassis wasn't a full blown resto. Just more like a once over to make it look less bad. The body is Dodge Plum Crazy purple and standard Dodge white. The body was in sad shape so it took lots of grinding, glassing and bondo and primer to get to where it is now. The factory trim was totally rotted out so I decided to do a little diamond tread..and then it kinda got out of hand but I think it looks good. Might have to go to 48v if I pile much more diamond tread on it though. Seats are from the m2seats dude on Ebay. Most everything else new from Vintage Carts. I have had a blast working on it but had more fun today showing it off around the neighborhood.

Thanks for looking! Hope you like it!

Terry

Thanks! I owned a body shop for many years and did a lot of custom cars. I just applied what I would have done to a car to the cart. I'm tickled with how it turned out!
